The Day I Forgave GOD paperback
Book 3: The Day I Forgave God.
The final installment of The Trilogy
After 26 years, the truth she avoided becomes the life she must face.
Iris has loved, endured, and repeated patterns she once believed she understood. But in the final unraveling of her marriage, she is forced to confront something deeper than heartbreak, herself, her choices, and the truth behind her becoming.
In this final installment of the You Again / Not This Time series, this memoir-inspired work of women’s fiction explores the emotional and spiritual terrain of a long-term relationship coming undone. It is a story of healing after divorce, self-discovery, and breaking generational and emotional cycles.
As Iris reflects on love, disappointment, and the patterns that shaped her life, she begins to question not only her own role, but the shared responsibility within relationships. This includes a deeper call for awareness, accountability, and reflection on how both women and men show up in love, conflict, and commitment.
Through this lens, the story expands beyond personal pain into a broader truth: healing requires honesty on both sides of connection.
This is not a story about blame.
It is a story about truth.
For women navigating heartbreak, emotional recovery, or spiritual awakening, this book offers reflection and release. For men willing to look deeper, it opens a mirror into responsibility, presence, and relational awareness.
Because at some point, the question is no longer what happened to you, but what you choose to do with it.

Initially, I was hesitant to read this book. I had one thought in my mind, but it turned out to be something totally different. It was suggested that she read some of her earlier works to fully understand the text. I believe I did years ago, but I don't remember the context. Even without that information, what was presented gave me food for thought. Like, was I mad at God?
As I was reading, I heard many voices, or should I say expressions or sounds. I heard, poetry, rap, militant voice. I heard a mother's love; I heard grief. I heard a lot. I walk away with much to ponder...

I don’t know how you do it. You tap in and cause the reader to pause. Re-read and pause again ~ Thank you. Your integrity shines in your writing. By the way, I do not think the book needs any adjustments except for a couple of typo corrections. This work is full and complete. ~ Sandra
